Social Work Services Performance

Performance within Social Services is monitored on a regular basis and reported to the appropriate management teams, corporate progress and performance reporting Council Scrutiny Committee, and other stakeholders such as Audit Scotland.

Public Performance Reports

Council performance is reported to citizens regularly through Clackmannanshire View.

The service produces an annual report which is made available to the public.

A copy of the performance framework can be found in our Social Policy Performance Framework document.

The main performance monitoring mechanism for the service is through the Council's Corporate Performance Reporting Structure 'Growing in Excellence'. This is undertaken through our Business Planning process.

Social Services has undertaken a self assessment under Public Service Improvement Framework (PSIF), and has completed service specific self assessments (Adult Care, Child Care and Integrated Mental Health Services). Each service within Social Services has also completed a self evaluation under the Clackmannanshire Improvement Model known as CIM.

The service is also working towards Customer Services Excellence and Investors in People awards throughout 2010-2011.

Information arising from assessment, audit and inspections, feeds into the development of the Social Services Business Plan and other service improvement processes.

With respect to the Criminal Justice service, the Fife and Forth Valley Community Justice Authority has compiled a set of performance measures for partners, which our Criminal Justice Service continues to work towards achieving.

The Council is currently rolling out an integrated web based performance system produced by Covalent. This is currently being developed and will improve our performance processes.
